Ana Margarida Sousa

Ana Margarida Sousa has a robust academic background in engineering, with three master’s degrees in Civil, Petroleum and Mechanical Engineering and specialization courses in the energy field and management, as well as the ongoing PhD. Her professional career, which started in 2006, encompasses research and practice. The first includes studies in civil engineering and energy production. From the second, one can highlight environmental, hydraulics, and transportation studies. Currently, Ana is a researcher in the energy group of CERENA (IST), secretary-general of the Portuguese Future Energy Leaders programme, within the Portuguese Energy Association (APE), and a member of the Future Energy Leaders programme from the World Energy Council, where she is working in several working groups, including the Net Zero Emissions and Hydrogen groups, to foster the energy transition.
