\nThis plan kicked off with the installation of these systems in 12 service areas in Spain, which are already in operation. The benefits gained brought forward the decision to expand. During the first stage, the project was extended to around 50 service stations in Portugal and the same number in Spain, amounting to 2.5 MWp with annual savings estimated at over \u20ac30,000, which extrapolates to savings of more than \u20ac750,000 over the 25-year lifespan of the solar panels.

\nThe plan to roll out this project in 2022 doesn\u2019t just include stations managed by Galp, but also those operated by third parties. In Spain, it also includes service stations managed by Galp via concessions awarded under public tenders launched by the Spanish state-owned motorway network.
